New Toys

So my beloved Tenere is gone, not even I saw this coming. It was the lure of a certain Ducati 750 Sport for sale, just like my old one but with very low mileage and in mint condition. The same shop also had another classic bike I have always liked, a Yamaha YZF1000r. So I managed to get a bargain deal on two bikes for my Tenere.

1997 Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace, travelled 16k. The full Over exhaust system sounds awesome. This bike will make a great sports tourer.

It’s totally original except for the rear shock and the mirrors. You have to wonder who in their right mind would put Kawasaki mirrors on a bike like this. They will be replaced with bar ends very quickly. It’s also probably the quietest Ducati I have ever heard, some louder pipes would be good but it’s still great to have the originals.

About Jono

I'm a keen and passionate rider - and have been riding for 17yrs. I've meet some fantastic friends through the rides that I've done and have even managed to get my wife to pillion with me on some of the 'wives' included trips. Getting away, being on the road and sharing adventures with your mates - there's no better way to spend a weekend.
