A friend of ours, Ross Marshall, has assembled the following moving gallery of his tour with his wife Robyn and friends around the back roads of the central North Island of New Zealand. While many places are familiar to us in Tailpipes and Headlamps, Ross is riding a Suzuki DR650 and rides some roads which we tarmac riders find a bit of a struggle. Ross was one who inspired me to take up riding back in the 1970’s with his succession of super fast Kawasakis and off road bikes. I was also grooms-man at Ross and Robyn’s wedding.
Enjoy these images off iconic back country New Zealand, Maori communities and the very chilled Kiwi music.
Awesome pictures!! NZ has some fantastic scenery and what a way to see it. Thanks for the ride.
Yes Ross. You should do some more riding yourself, and post some photos of the magical beauty around Nelson
Love the bike – lovely scenery and what’s not to like about the music – great trip!
Thank you all – Don 🙂
